GradeSpeed Parent Module, also referred to as simply GSPM, provides parents with a great way to keep in touch with their child's academic progress.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q What is GSPM?
A GSPM is a web based tool designed to enhance parent-school communication; your use of the GSPM web site is voluntary.

Q Can other people see my child's information on GSPM?
A GSPM is password and user name protected.  As long as you keep your password and user name safe, no one else will be able to access or view your child's personal information

Q Does GSPM cost money or is there a fee for this service?
A GSPM is provided free as a service of the Hardin Independent School District.

Q I can't get GSPM to work on my computer; what should I do?
A GSPM is a web based product, so it should work like any other web based application.  In rare instances, the GSPM server may be down, so please try again as needed.  If you are still having problems you can email us at < hwebmaster@esc5.net > and a staff member will get back to you as soon as possible.  Please note the Hardin Independent Schools do not support off-site technology or software applications; for computer or software problems please consult your computer dealer or software vendor.

Q Are all of the Hardin schools on GSPM?
A All Hardin schools are on GradeSpeed, however, grades for Pre-K and Kindergarten students are not available.

Q I have lost my password and user name, what should I do?
A A form is available for password changes. It is available in the High School office. Passwords will only be changed for security reasons.

Q Do I need to install any special program on my home computer?
A No, GSPM only requires an Internet browser to view.

Q Does GSPM create a lot of extra work for school staff?
A GSPM does create some extra work, but not as much as you might think.  In a nutshell, everything school staff do is now done in "real time".  Data entry by the teacher is the same data entry that has been done in the past , but the data is now "real time" data.  When our secondary report cards are on line, the same data that was used before (and the same processes that were used before) will generate instant results.  In many ways, there is no "new" work, just "different" work.

Q What if I have questions about my child’s grades?
A Please contact your child’s teacher via phone or e-mail. E-mail addresses can be found on the web page for each campus located on the faculty page.
