HHS Tardy Policy

To be implemented starting the Spring Semester of 2008 (Tuesday, January 22, 2008).

Tardy Sweep each period

A     When the Tardy Bell Sounds, all teachers will have their classroom doors shut and locked.

B     Any student in the hallway at that time will be given a write up for a Tardy.  Tardy notices will be picked up each period.

1     If the Tardy occurs from 1st period through 5th period, the student will be assigned to Lunch Detention on that day; therefore, punishment is swift and direct.

2     If the Tardy occurs from Study Hall to 8th Period, the student will be assigned to ASD for that afternoon  (3:26 p.m. to 4:15 p.m.).

Students assigned to Physical Education, Athletics, or Ag should report directly to their class.  Any student remaining in the hall will be issued tardy slips. 

b)    Special Passes

1)    Each student will be issued three Special Passes for the Semester that can be used to cancel a Tardy.

A     If the pass is not used, the student will be able to “cash it in” for extra points
